Walk and Talk Therapy is an alternative to traditional in-room sessions, combining the therapeutic benefits of talking therapy with the calming effects of nature. This approach allows clients to engage in therapy while walking outdoors in a safe, agreed-upon location, encouraging a sense of ease, movement, and connection with the natural environment.

Outdoor Therapy offers an alternative that promotes comfort, relaxation, and openness, making it easier for clients to engage in their therapeutic journey.Where Are The Sessions Held?
Ivy Light's outdoor therapy sessions are held along Woodhall Spa's beautiful woodland trails or the stunning gardens and parkland of Doddington Hall in Lincoln.How Does It Work?
An initial discussion about your needs and expectations of therapy will take place over the phone or online with our Walk and Talk Therapists Dianne Sullivan or Glen Settle. After a therapy plan is agreed, you and your Therapist will then arrange the date, time, meeting place and route for your 1 hour walk.If you prefer, rather than walking for the whole session, you can sit somewhere where you can be surrounded and held by the beauty of nature. It's your counselling session so it will be carried out at a pace that suits you.
Well behaved pets are most welcome! Just let your Therapist know when you plan your session.
