Integrative Counsellor And Therapist
Founder Of Ivy Light

"As an Integrative Therapist, I understand the importance of adapting my therapeutic style to meet you where you are. You won't need to conform to a one-size-fits-all approach, I believe in utilising several different approaches to therapy. Together, we will collaboratively identify the best planned approach that aligns with your goals.

I take pride in providing a calming, safe, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore any challenges or worries at your own pace. Whether you prefer a more directive or non-directive approach, I am here to guide you through your therapeutic journey based on your needs and preferences.

With extensive experience in working with adults, I have supported clients dealing with a wide range of issues. From processing and healing from historic abuse and trauma, navigating divorce and separation, and coping with grief and loss, to addressing unhealthy behaviours and exploring familial relationships, I am here to provide a supportive space for your personal growth. I have also worked extensively with individuals experiencing imposter syndrome, anxiety disorders, depression, low self-worth, and self-esteem challenges. Furthermore, I have provided talking therapy to many educational specialists, medical practitioners and emergency services personnel, understanding the unique pressures they face.

In addition, I have a wealth of experience working with young people. I have provided counselling to those dealing with issues including self-harm, low mood, anxiety disorders, body image concerns, changes in home life, and academic-related issues. I have a decade of experience within the education sector, having previously served as the counselling lead in a Lincoln secondary school. This firsthand experience allows me to approach therapy with insight and empathy.

Having had negative experiences with counselling as a teenager, where I felt unheard and unable to be my authentic self, I am committed to ensuring that in my practice, the therapeutic journey is a collaboration that centres around you. Your preferences and needs will be consistently prioritised.

As the owner of Ivy Light and a qualified Integrative Counsellor & Therapist, I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling. I have completed extensive training in areas relating to Counselling and Psychotherapy, and continually engage in professional development to stay updated with the most relevant theories and practices in counselling and psychotherapy. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to a strict ethical framework.

I established Ivy Light with a vision to offer a modern and relatable service, bringing together a team of like-minded counsellors and psychotherapists who share the belief that the client should always be at the heart of the therapy process."
